***Face coverings now required in our facilities***

Due to COVID-19, we will be closed on Sundays.

We have also shortened our business hours. Our new temporary hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00PM. (Due to extreme lines waiting to get inside, the gates are closed anytime after 3:00pm.)

We are limiting 10 customers in the store or nursery at one time.

We are making every effort to sanitize our store to keep our customers and employees safe.

When done right, painting a room can give new life to a space that feels dull and dated. However, if you’ve never painted before, then you may have questions about the best painting techniques to use. If you recently visited your nearby paint store in San Jose to pick up tools for your first painting project, then watch this video to see how to use a paintbrush the right way.

As you begin, instead of putting your paintbrush directly into the paint, dampen it with water first. Then, load up the bristles with a significant amount of paint, but try to keep the paint down in the bottom 2/3 of the bristles, which can help preserve the life of the paintbrush. Finally, avoid letting the paint on your brush get too dry so that the paint goes on more evenly and the brush is easier to clean once you’re done.
